HUR, the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Directorate, hit another Russian locomotive in Zaporizhzhia Oblast on Tuesday. The line had only just returned to service after being closed for a week through a very similar operation. By destroying the track ahead of the train, HUR was able to force the locomotive to stop and wait for a repair crew while drones converged to strike the train itself.

Ukraine credited their resistance movement for the sabotage of the line. As I recently explained in an essay that is still available exclusively to premium subscribers for another five weeks before it unlocks, this probably does not indicate physical sabotage.
